We look forward to working with the team to continue supporting our Pupils' education and well-being.

What is respect?
Respect means a feeling of high regard or admiration for someone or something, as well as treating people, rules, and rights with care and consideration.
How do we show respect?
We show respect by listening actively, practising basic courtesy and treating others' time and boundaries with value.
What does respect look like at school?
Respect in school means treating teachers, classmates and school property with kindness, care and polite behaviour.
Year 3 pupils have made an exceptionally smooth transition into Key Stage 2, settling seamlessly into their new routines from day one. Demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm, the children have quickly adapted to the expectations of their new classrooms. They are already fully engaged in their core text Greta and the Giants, tackling their daily work with independence and impressive focus! Good job Year 3!
This week, we have immersed ourselves in our new core text, Azzi In Between. We thought about what it would feel like to have to suddenly evacuate our home because of conflict. We empathised and collaborated in discusssions about what someone in that situation may pack and why.
Year 5 have made an exciting start to the term! The children are loving our new core text, Zane and the Hurricane, and recently took on the challenge of deciding what essentials they would need to survive a major storm. Their teamwork, enthusiasm, and thoughtful ideas made for a fantastic start to our new topic!
Year 6 have had a wonderful start to the term and we are so proud of them! The children became investigators this week to explore the clues left in Mrs Smith's room and use them to predict what our new core text Max and the Millions is about. They have gone on to build their own 3D kingdoms using a range of resources and write superb setting descriptions to describe them.
DEC have enjoyed getting back into routines and building new friendships with new starters. Social skills games help individuals develop essential communication, emotional regulation, and interpersonal abilities in a structured, low-stakes environment. DEC have outside and inside sessions to support friendships and appropriate play.
SEND: A message SENCO Mr Palmer
Mr. Palmer's Strategy of the Week!
Are you finding that your SEND child is feeling unusually anxious, tearful, or prone to meltdowns at home as they settle into the new school year?
Create a Consistent Home Routine: A predictable morning and evening sequence provides a safe anchor, helping offset the uncertainty and sensory overload of a new school day.
Allow Low-Demand After-School Decompression: School requires immense energy. Give them 30–60 minutes of quiet, quiet-sensory time or free play right after school before asking about their day or starting homework.
Use Visual Transition Tools: Help them anticipate what comes next using simple visual schedules or countdowns, reducing the anxiety that often triggers resistance during daily routines.
Wishing the following children a Happy Birthday over the next two weeks!
