Thank you for the kind words

"I highly recommend Leslie training in the field of dementia care training, behavioral expression interventions, person centered engagement and disease. Her passion and ability to engage the audience to understand the importance of approach, meaning and purpose is excellent. She listens, seeks to understand and will work with the team for solutions and or ideas."

Teresa Gilbert, Director of Dementia Care Field Services Brookdale Senior Living

"I had the distinct pleasure of working with Leslie Fuller at Brookdale. I first met Leslie when she responded to the California Wine Country fires in 2017. Memory Care residents had been displaced from their communities. Leslie assisted with programming and activities during this stressful time. She was a calming force and displayed person-centered care in all interactions with the residents.

She takes the time to practice her training presentations so that they are professional and engaging to all participants. An example I recall was Leslie taking a behavioral expression poll for the Health and Wellness Directors and Program Managers. She was able to take examples of specific behavioral expressions from a clinical and programming perspective and present to the group. The end result was the partnership of the wellness and programming teams.

Leslie is an advocate of person-centered care. I have been on behavioral analysis reviews with Leslie when a community was struggling with resident behaviors and appropriate interventions. She fostered an interactive discussion with the community leaders. After the call, she provided a list of programming ideas to reduce the behavioral expression with resident specific interventions."

"I am more than honored to recommend Leslie. In my role of Health & Wellness Director in a memory care community, Leslie has been a great teacher and source of support. I have always been impressed with her professionalism and admirable personal qualities. Leslie is patient, knowledgeable and always wears a smile. As a previous recipient of her guidance and leadership skills, I have learned a tremendous amount in the 3 years I have known her. She has the ability to paint a vivid picture of life, situations, and perception from the mind of a person with dementia. She is able to help her audience understand the importance of thinking outside the box and being open to the concept of the person living with Dementia instead of the demented person. She is also a huge advocate for the dignity and respect when caring for a person with dementia. In the 12 years that I have worked as a licensed nurse I have not had anyone able to help me understand dementia as well as Leslie. Her guidance and support helped me excel in my work. She is an amazing teacher and an even better person. I truly value all that I was able to learn from her and believe she would be a huge asset to your company."

"When my husband, Don, and I moved to Brookdale, Leslie was the extremely active Resident Service Director. At that time there were no resident support groups. After discussing interest in having a group, Leslie was instrumental at organizing several groups and we were in the Parkinson's group. Leslie attended and participated and led our group. Don looked forward to these meetings even as he struggled with Parkinson's and Dementia. Leslie's positive and fun loving personality showed in every activity from Pizza parties to group discussions. She provided helpful information and resources. Leslie worked with all support groups but was always available for individual support as needed and to answer questions. The word "can't" was not in her vocabulary but her response was always "can" or we can try.

As a carepartner, she never made me feel like I was inadequate as a caregiver for Don. She was there to provide support for me so I could provide support to Don.

Thank you Leslie for being you. Don thought you were special! "
