In April 2025, Savannah Parks received a Structural Review of the Savannah Aquatic Center which assessed the facility. Review that report below.
May 2025 the Park Board announced that this will be the final season for the pool.
Throughout Summer 2025 there is much public concern for the loss of this civic amenity that is the summer heartbeat of our community. A group of concerned citizens begins to band together.
July 2025 a meeting is held by the Friends of the Pool with community leaders to discuss solutions. Discussion agenda can be reviewed below.
July 2025 the Park Board officially sanctions the Friends of the Pool to research and fundraise for a new pool facility.
Andrew County Aquatics Initiative is formed as a Field of Interest Fund under the Northwest Missouri Community Foundation, a 501c3.
August 2025 an update is given to the Park Board.
Fundraising begins with the Splash Bash to be held September 6.
Research and further project development plans are in full force.
