In this hands-on 5-week course, participants will learn how to design, build, and facilitate immersive virtual escape rooms using educational technology, AI tools, gaming strategies, simulation principles, and web-based platforms. Through live Zoom workshops and self-paced online modules, learners will explore the foundations of gamification, instructional design, storytelling, learner engagement, and interactive technology while creating their own playable educational escape room experience.

Participants will gain practical experience using AI-assisted design tools, website builders, interactive web applications, digital puzzles, simulation techniques, and collaborative learning strategies to transform traditional teaching into meaningful, game-based learning experiences.

Whether you work in healthcare, education, business, workforce development, or community training, this course will help you create engaging virtual learning environments that promote critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

By the end of the course, learners will have:

• Designed a complete virtual escape room

• Built a functional online experience

• Integrated AI and interactive technologies

• Applied pedagogy and simulation best practices

• Facilitated learner-centered gameplay experiences

• Developed reusable educational assets for future training
