Genshin Impact uses a "Wishes" system to randomly generate new characters and weapons. Genshin Impact have a coin system: primogems and acquaint fate. The acquain fate is only used for normal wishes, and with the primogems you can used also for level up your battle pass.
You can buy 1 wish (160 primogems) or 10 wishes (1600 primogems).

At level 20 of the adventure rank you unlock the battle pass. You can get experience doing the Daily Missions or the Weekly Missions. And every mission give to you experience to level up.
