Saving food:

What I know about the food that is wasted:

In Catalonia we throw away 262,000 tons of food every year, more than half in homes, but also in restaurants and shops. With all these kilos we could feed about 500,000 people for a whole year and with the food we "throw" it could have been used to feed people with conditions lower than ours.

What I do to save food:

• Buy the food I need and don't buy the food I don't need.

• Food that can be made at home, such as bread.
