Public-private Mix (PPM) packages are modes to increase the capability and involvement of all stakeholders in the provision of quality tuberculosis care. The core components of the PPM were to introduce National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) diagnostic and treatment principles into the private sector, to strengthen referral and information systems between the private and public sectors, and to strengthen supervision of PP by the NTP (Quoy et. al., 2003).
Through PPM packages, formal links between the private providers (PPs) and the NTP are established. This makes way to structure referral and notification routines thus improving the collaboration between the private sector and the NTP.
Below is a summary and comprehensive discussion of our private-public mix packages. Feel free to use the medium you would like to learn from: whether through reading our visual presentations or hearing details through our videos.
Below are the services provided for patients with tuberculosis as well as which packages these services are included in.
Partnership is easy and transparent. It can be done through three steps: (1) choose a PPM package fit for your needs, (2) sign the letter of agreement, and (3) start referring patients.
Take note of the program requirements for the chosen package. If you miss a requirement for your desired package, do not worry! We can tailor a package fit for you. We are here as your partner in capacity building as well!
