Understood. The previous policy stated "The App does not access, collect, or track your precise or approximate geographical location." This needs to be changed.
Here's the revised, detailed privacy policy for "Execution Excellence," incorporating the collection of location data when recording information in the app. I've highlighted the significant changes.
Last Updated: July 28, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Inforwaves ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and discloses information when you use our mobile application, Execution Excellence (the "App").
Execution Excellence is a business-to-business (B2B) application designed exclusively for internal organizational use. It is not intended for general public use or for individuals outside of authorized corporate environments. Our data collection practices are focused on facilitating secure access and enabling efficient record-keeping within your organization, which may include associated location data.
Our primary goal is to provide a secure and efficient internal tool.
1.1 Authentication Information: The primary personally identifiable information we collect directly from you is necessary for user authentication. This includes:
Username: A unique identifier provided by your organization's administrator.1
Password: A confidential credential that, once provided, is typically hashed or encrypted for security and is not stored in plain text by the App.
Authentication Tokens: After successful login, the App may generate and store secure, temporary authentication tokens on your device to maintain your logged-in session without requiring re-entry of credentials for a specified period. These tokens are for session management only and do not contain personal data beyond what is required for authentication.
1.2 Location Data (When Recording Information):
The App may collect your precise or approximate geographical location data when you are actively recording or submitting information within the App's functionalities. This location data is collected using technologies like GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular towers on your device.
Purpose of Collection: This location data is collected to provide context for the information you are recording, allowing your organization to understand where specific activities, events, or data points occurred. It is used to enhance the accuracy and utility of the data you submit for internal business operations.
User Control: You will be prompted to grant location permissions to the App by your device's operating system. If you do not grant these permissions, certain features of the App that require location data for recording information may not function correctly or may be unavailable.
Collection Trigger: Location data is collected specifically at the point of data submission or recording within the App, and not continuously in the background when not actively interacting with recording features.
1.3 Information NOT Collected (unless explicitly stated above):
Execution Excellence is designed with a strong emphasis on data minimization. We do not collect any of the following types of information, unless specifically detailed in sections 1.1 or 1.2:
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) beyond authentication and recorded location: This includes, but is not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, physical address (unless voluntarily entered by you as part of specific recorded information), date of birth, gender, or any other demographic information.
Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect health data, financial information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation.
Usage Data (Analytics): We do not collect analytics data related to how you use the App's features, screen views, session duration, or general user engagement metrics.
Device Information: We do not collect device identifiers (e.g., IMEI, Android ID), IP addresses, operating system information, device model, or browser type, unless strictly necessary for fundamental operational purposes (e.g., basic network communication to our servers for authentication or necessary device details to enable location services).
Information from Third-Party Sources: We do not collect information about you from external third-party sources.
User accounts for Execution Excellence are exclusively created and managed by an authorized administrator account within your specific organization.
Individual users cannot directly create an account through the App.
Your organization's administrator is responsible for provisioning and de-provisioning user accounts, including assigning usernames and initial passwords.
The administrator may also manage user roles and permissions within the App based on your organizational structure.
The limited information we collect (authentication data and recorded location data) is used solely for the following specific purposes:
3.1 To Provide and Maintain the App:
To allow you to securely log in and access the features and content designated for your role within the App.
To maintain your logged-in session, ensuring a seamless user experience.
To verify your identity upon login.
3.2 To Facilitate Information Recording with Context:
To associate location data with the information you actively record or submit through the App. This is crucial for providing your organization with geographical context for operational data (e.g., where a specific task was completed, where an asset was located, or where an observation was made).
This location data is integrated into the records you create and is used by your organization for its intended business purposes.
3.3 To Ensure the Security of the App:
To protect against unauthorized access to your account and the App's internal data.
To detect and prevent fraudulent activity or misuse of the App.
To enforce security policies established by your organization.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your authentication information or the location data you record through the App to any third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes.
We may share or disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 With Your Organization's Administrator and Authorized Personnel: Your organization's designated administrator(s) and other authorized personnel (as determined by your organization) have access to user account information and all data recorded through the App, including associated location data. This access is essential for account management, troubleshooting, and for the proper functioning and analysis of the data collected for your organization's internal business operations.
4.2 With Service Providers (if applicable and limited): We do not currently use third-party service providers for data processing beyond the basic hosting and operational infrastructure needed for the App's functionality. If we were to engage any such providers in the future (e.g., for secure server hosting, database management), they would be contractually bound to process data only on our instructions, in compliance with this Privacy Policy, and with appropriate confidentiality and security measures. Any such engagement would be strictly limited to the technical operation of the App.
4.3 For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information (including authentication and recorded location data) if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order, subpoena, or government agency request), provided such requests are legally binding and we believe the disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations.
4.4 To Protect Our Rights and Property: We may disclose your information when we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved. This would only involve authentication and recorded location data relevant to such issues.
4.5 In the Event of a Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your authentication and recorded location information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We would notify you (via your organization's administrator) of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your authentication information and the location data you record from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include, but are not limited to:
Encryption: Passwords are never stored in plain text and are typically hashed or encrypted. Communication between the App and our servers is secured using industry-standard encryption protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS). Data may be encrypted at rest on our servers.
Access Controls: Access to authentication data and recorded information (including location data) on our servers is restricted to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need.
Secure Infrastructure: We utilize secure server environments and adhere to best practices for infrastructure security.
However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We retain your authentication information and the location data associated with your recorded information only for as long as your account remains active within the Execution Excellence App, or as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements for your organization.
When your account is de-provisioned by your organization's administrator, or when your organization ceases its use of the App, your authentication information and associated recorded data (including location data) will be securely deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe, unless legal obligations or your organization's data retention policies require longer retention.
Given that Execution Excellence is an enterprise application managed by your organization, your choices and rights regarding your data are primarily exercised through your organization's administrator:
Access and Correction: If you wish to access, review, or correct your authentication information (e.g., change your username or reset your password), please contact your organization's administrator.
Location Permissions: You can enable or disable location services for the App at any time through your device's operating system settings.2 However, disabling location services may prevent you from using certain App features that require the recording of location data.
Account Deletion: If you wish to have your account deleted, you must request this through your organization's administrator, who is responsible for managing user accounts within the App.
Withdrawal of Consent: Since the data collected (authentication and location when recording) is essential for the functionality of the App, you cannot withdraw consent for this basic processing while continuing to use the App. If you do not wish for your data to be processed as described, you should cease using the App and request your account be deleted by your organization's administrator.
Execution Excellence is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18, nor does it knowingly collect personal information from children. As a B2B application, it is designed for use by adult employees within an organization. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.
As our operations may involve cloud infrastructure, your authentication information and the location data you record may be stored and processed in countries outside of your own, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. We implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses or reliance on adequacy decisions) to ensure that your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App, on our website, or by other reasonable means (e.g., via your organization's administrator). The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy will indicate when it was last revised. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the App after any modifications to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact:
Your Organization's Administrator: For all inquiries related to your user account, access, correction, or deletion of recorded data.
