Independence School Library

Destiny Discover is the library software that is used to manage our school's library collection.  Library patrons can search the entire library catalog from any digital device.   Patrons can also log in to monitor the materials they have checked out or place desired material on hold.

Sora allows you to check out e-books and audiobooks to your iPad for use in school and at home. Just use your school email to sign in with Google!

Directions: we are part of the "Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium". This is what you will search for first when it says "Find your school". After, you will be able to select Independence.

Finally, use your school email to sign in with Google.

Comics Plus is a digital platform offering thousands of digital comics, graphic novels and manga to readers through the school library. You can access titles using a smartphone, tablet, or web browser, and can be downloaded to multiple devices.

It's like Sora for comics and graphic novels!

Patrons can search approximately 20,000 full-text magazines and journals, over 1,500 newspapers, reference materials and other specialized information sources.  BadgerLink also connects users to WISCAT, the free online catalog of Wisconsin library holdings.

The Independence Public Library is located at 23688 Adams Street in Independence.  Look for the clock tower!  Use your public library card to download books from Overdrive or borrow books from WISCAT.

WISCAT is a combined union catalog for Wisconsin libraries; it contains seven million titles and more than 32 million holdings from over 1,200 contributing libraries.  WISCAT contains materials in all formats, including books, serials, video recordings, sound recordings and other audiovisual formats.
