As Salaamu Alaykum! Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Indiana Horizon Academy! This is my fifth year teaching at Indiana Horizon Academy, and I’m so excited about the year ahead! 

I am from Akron, Ohio and I attended The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Level Education in Math & Science. I also received a Master’s Degree in Higher Education from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio and a Certificate in Teaching from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. I am also a licensed teacher for grades kindergarten to sixth grade.

I know that your son/daughter will accomplish amazing things this year, and it’s my job to ensure that they have every tool they need to be successful. Education doesn’t start and end in the classroom. Studies show that parental involvement can lead to academic gains for students, including higher grades and test scores, improved social skills, better attendance and participation, and a decrease of behavioral problems in the classroom. I hope that this year, we can work together as partners to ensure that your child’s needs are met and that they feel confident, welcome, and successful in my classroom.
