Hello, my name is Anna Santiago! My pronouns are she/her.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in the state of Florida.
My passion is to work with clients struggling to find the best parts of themselves. I strongly believe that everyone has their own hidden strengths. Through therapy, we will work together to discover those strengths. I truly enjoy seeing my clients succeed and reach their full potential. I want you to know how incredible you truly are!
As a counselor, I conceptualize from a psychodynamic perspective and treat from a client-centered framework. I allow treatment to be guided by the client's needs. Each client is unique and has their own form of processing. I work with my clients to discover what truly works for them. The healing process can be completed in various forms whether it is through talk-therapy, narrative therapy, creative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, etc.
I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Florida. I have over six years of experience working with individuals in the community struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-identity, self-esteem, stress, and feelings of being overwhelmed. I have over fours years of experience as a mental health director working with therapist helping individuals with familial disruption, substance misuse, and general mental health concerns.
I have a bachelor's in Criminal Justice and enjoy working with misunderstood individuals involved in the criminal justice system. I have served my community as a Senior Juvenile Probation Officer for the Department of Juvenile Justice specializing in work with juveniles in foster care. I enjoy working with individuals that just want their best selves to shine but they do not know how or "something" is holding them back.
