Enrica, as my mother loves to call me, is the "short" version of my first name, Enrichetta.
Astronomy is my passion since I was sixteen, when I convinced my father that being an astronomer is better than a bank employer!
Nowadays, astronomy is still my passion and part of my great job as researcher at the Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte, a small pearl in the wondeful city of Naples, Italy.
I got my PhD in Astrophysics in 2001, at the international School for Advanced Studies, in Trieste (Italy).
Since 2004, I am staffa astronomer at the Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte, part of the Italian Institute for Astrophysics.
My work explores the structure of galaxies in groups and clusters, by using deep imaging and spectroscopic data.
My research group focuses on the study of the low surface brightness features in the universe, to unveil the relics of the past gravitational interactions between galaxies.
