Stetson photometry
I am collaborating with P.B. Stetson and other colleagues, with the aim of showcasing its large photometric database through various scientific applications and to study globular clusters. Some of our results concerned:
presenting the method and the globular cluster photometries (Stetson et al. 2019)
critically compiling the Stetson's list of secondary standards (Pancino et al. 2022)
studying the concentration of multiple populations with surprising results (Leitinger et al. 2023)
using differential reddening maps to estimate the intracluster medium (Pancino et al. 2024)
We are currently collecting data from various telescopes from both hemispheres to help Peter increase the quality and completeness of his database, especially concerning globular clusters. We are also using Peter's enormous database of epoch photometry to hunt for binaries in star clusters for the StarDance project.
