The conference will take place close to the very center of Matera,
known as "Sassi".
We will be hosted by the University of Basilicata, in the Aula Magna of the new campus located in Via Lanera 20 Parco del Castello

TOUR OF THE OLD CITY ("SASSI"):
The tour will take place on Wednesday 3rd, starting at 14.30 from piazza Vittorio Veneto. The meeting point is near the Elephant statue in the square (hard to miss).
SOCIAL DINNER:
The dinner on Thursday will be at 20 at the restaurant "Il terrazzino", in the old part of town
TRAVEL
The closest international airport to the city of Matera is Bari.

Unfortunately, Matera cannot be reached with the train, but several companies offer bus connections, such as:

We will try to organise shuttles from Bari airport to Matera, please indicate if you might need a transfer in the registration form. However, we cannot guarantee that this will be possible for any day or time of arrival and/or number of people.
