A huge thank you to Jasbir. Within one hour we were able to setup and run some GPU tests based on his blog. We used the filesystem from here I.MX6 – Ubuntu 13.04 with GPU acceleration and we applied the steps described at I.MX6 Ubuntu 13.04 Debugging GPU Acceleration. As you can see from the picture, the example used for testing the graphic performance is running at 630 FPS.

Check out temperature of the iMX6 module. Don’t forget, we used a small heatsink (PGA 6x6x14) on the top of the processor.
We have successfully tested TG-348 PCIE Ethernet card (Realtek RTL8168E) plugged in the iMX6 Rex Baseboard.
Check out the console output. You can see there the CPU temperature: 78°C (with a small heatsink installed on the top of the CPU).
Total power approximately 8W with an LVDS display connected (0.8A / 10V).
The very first version of the iMX6 Rex Development Board manual has been released today. At this moment with connectors description only, but the document will be updated regularly. The manual can be downloaded here >>
We have the proper GUI running on the iMX6 Rex. USB Keyboard and USB mouse are running oki.
