I know, that I have not been posting much, but we have developed and shared everything what we wanted, basically this project is complete, so there is not really much what to post about. Just wanted to let you know, that all iMX6 Rex boards are very alive, processor is going to be available for many more years and we are planing to keep production and support.
We still keep teaching people how to design this board in our online courses at FEDEVEL Academy and boards can be ordered from VOIPAC.

- VOIPAC added support for ULTRA configurations, 1GHZ iMX6 QuadPlus CPU with 4GB memories (1.2GHz CPU coming soon).
- Kernel 4.1 is out available through VOIPAC wiki webpages
- Many people have sign up for Learn the Essentials of creating uBoot, Linux and YOCTO course and bought also OpenRex. Thank you very much. :)
- Due my other projects, I can not spend as much time as I would love to with OpenRex Education Project. If there is someone interested to lead OpenRex Education Project, please drop me an email.
- I have tested OpenRex SOLO running from battery. I used standard Anker USB travel charger :)
As you know, there are Magnetometer, Accelerometer and Gyro sensor on OpenRex. I wanted to test how good it works. I made a simple Compass reading code and I am showing OpenRex orientation in 3D software called Blender. It’s really cool. Have a look.
