We made couple of power measurements. These are just to give you an idea of iMX6 TinyRex power consumption.
More results will come when we have the complete software support, e.g. these tests don’t include running HDMI input or GPU.

For last 9 months we were working really hard Based on your comments, we developed a new module, which is half size of the standard iMX6 Rex and has almost all the iMX6 pins available on the board to board connectors, including camera interfaces. PDF schematic of the iMX6 TinyRex module will be available, but the module is not going to be open source.
If you need to power up the iMX6 Rex module from a single 5V power input, follow these steps: iMX6_Rex-5V_power_supply_modifications.pdf. The instructions also include iMX6 Rex Baseboard modification.
We working on a new iMX6 fully open source project – including commercial use. Contribute to a new awesome project by answering couple of questions. You are helping to build new generation of Raspberry Pi or Arduino! Thank you!

VOIPAC ported Android on the iMX6 Rex. If you would like to try the VOIPAC binaries, here you will find step-by-step instructions: How to test Android on iMX6 Rex
Fantastic job Marek! Thank you :)
To give you a better idea about how the iMX6 Rex module + Baseboard will look in a box, I 3D printed one. Here is the result …
In case you need to generate your own fresh & new filesystem, follow the instruction at How to create a filesystem. It’s a fantastic help, just few steps and you have it ready.
Thank you very much to Sam Nazarko. Sam created the script for you guys. Check out also Sam’s project called VERO (Recommended).
