Piero Sansò graduated with honors in Philosophical Sciences from Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, with a thesis in History, Science, and Society titled "The Lineage of CRISPR: New Eugenics in a Historical Perspective, Between Science, Technology, and Public Debate."
He is currently a PhD candidate in Humanities, Technology, and Society (Unimore, Fondazione Collegio San Carlo di Modena, and Almo Collegio Borromeo di Pavia), working on a project titled "Black Boxes: Critical Theory and STS Studies for a Human-Centered AI."
His research interests span across Science and Technology Studies and Legal Informatics, with a particular focus on Critical Algorithm Studies and the ethical, philosophical, and social issues related to the development and implementation of artificial intelligence systems.
He is a member of Officina Informatica DET – Law, Ethics, and Technologies, established within CRID – Interdepartmental Research Center on Discrimination and Vulnerability.
I mainly deal with the .it Registry Ludoteca, a digital education project for schools. In particular, I follow the design and drafting of training materials for classroom workshops.
I also participate in the creation of digital content for pupils and teachers, such as educational videos and edutainment tools, including the Internetopoli web app.
Other areas of my activity for the Ludoteca are communication, that is the promotion of initiatives on all dedicated channels (website, social media) and promoting the spread of scientific information, with the drafting of articles for conferences and magazines dedicated to the world of education in general and of the school in particular.
I also follow the research project on the assessment of the effectiveness of workshops in school classes, in collaboration with the University of Florence.
Finally, I collaborate in the promotion of the Master in Cyber Security, dealing with updating the website and social media channels.
Michael Lodi (BS, MS, Ph.D. in CS) is a Junior Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Bologna, Italy.
His research focuses on CS Education: he studies historical, epistemological, didactical, and motivational aspects of introducing CS (particularly programming) in K-12 education, especially with constructivist approaches.
Recently, he is also interested in the didactics of other CS topics like cryptography, high-performance computing, and quantum computing.
He is the author of dozens of publications in international conferences and journals on Informatics and STEM education.
He is also involved in extensive outreach activities and teacher training.
Samuele Y. Cerini is a Cybersecurity Ph.D. student at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca and Researcher at the Italian Cybersecurity National Lab. With a background in Hardware Security, today he mostly focuses on Passive Attacks and Lawful Interception. Having always been passionate about education, he is also currently involved in Cybersecurity training for an Italian High School.
Valeria Barone is a PhD candidate in Work, Development, and Innovation at the Marco Biagi Foundation and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore).
She is also a collaborator at CRID – the Interdepartmental Research Center on Discrimination and Vulnerability at Unimore – and a consultant for the SAFELY project, an initiative that promotes digital awareness among minors.
A lawyer by training, she focuses on issues related to the protection of digital rights and the prevention of risks associated with technology use among young people.
Her research and consultancy work center on the intersection of law, innovation, and social inclusivity.
She is particularly dedicated to studying algorithmic discrimination and analyzing the impact of new technologies on fundamental rights, exploring the legal and ethical implications of technological innovations.
Roberto Srelz is a Data Protection Specialist and a CCNA/CCNP Cisco instructor at the ITS Accademia Nautica dell'Adriatico.
He is an entrepreneur, journalist, and IT consultant with a background in telecommunications and network management. With decades of experience in industrial automation, system administration, and media communication, he has worked with major corporations like Wärtsilä, Hewlett-Packard, and DXC Technology.
Passionate about storytelling, he has published science fiction and fantasy novels, while also contributing to journalism as the founder of TRIESTE.news and other media outlets.

Achille Pierre Paliotta, a Sociology graduate from Sapienza University of Rome, is a senior researcher in the Labor Market Structure at INAPP (formerly ISFOL). He earned a Master's in Data Science from the University of Tor Vergata in 2015 and a Master's in Cybersecurity from Sapienza in 2021. His research focuses on technological innovation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
Alessandro Cillario, one of Forbes Italy Under 30, holds a Law degree from the University of Bologna. He co-founded Cubbit and is co-CEO. Since the age of 19 he has been also involved in communication and journalism. Passionate about innovation, Techstars’ mentor for new entrepreneurs, he co-founded with Stefano Onofri the StartUp Day Unibo, which today is the most important Italian event for youth and academic entrepreneurship. Michele Balbinot is a research fellow at the Interdepartmental Research Center on Discrimination and Vulnerability (CRID) at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, working within the SAFELY project – Social media Awareness For Education and Legal Youth (SERICS Cascade Call – Spoke 8).
He is a member of the Officina Informatica Diritto Etica e Tecnologie (Law, Ethics, and Technologies Workshop) established at CRID, Unimore. His research and study interests include gender discrimination and feminist studies, the relationship between law and technology, and criminology, with a particular focus on digital crime.

She is currently working as a support teacher at the "Daniela Settesoldi" Comprehensive Institute in Vecchiano (Pisa), promoting integration and school inclusion.
Adel Elmaghraby is the Director for Research and Innovation at the University of Louisville Digital Transformation Center and the Director of Industrial Research and Innovation at the Speed School of Engineering, where he is the Winnia Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. Previously, he chaired the Computer Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Louisville. Dr. Elmaghraby earned his MS and PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his BS from Alexandria University. His research spans Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, visualization, and simulation, with publications placing him among the top 2% of highly cited authors globally. He founded the Hive AI Innovation Studio and the Beyond Reality Immersive Technologies Center and has been recognized with numerous awards, including IEEE’s Golden Core Membership and Distinguished Speaker honors. Sharon Kerrick, PhD is an Associate Professor & Assistant Vice President of the Digital Transformation Center at the University of Louisville. (U of L 2002-present). She previously was Associate Director of Entrepreneurship programs at U of L and former Dean of Bellarmine’s Rubel School of Business (AACSB). She teaches and publishes in the areas of technology and entrepreneurship. Since 2021, she has been awarded over $14M in grant funding, specifically in the area of cybersecurity. Her research has been quoted in Forbes magazine.
Prior to joining U of L, she was co-owner of a technology firm that grew to over 300 full-time staff in 20 years. She has been named to Business First’s Hall of Fame, received the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Kentucky Hall of Fame award, and later the NAWBO EPIC leadership award. Shard Tower, the talented team from ITS Academy Lazio Digital, has emerged as the winner of 2024 Let’s Cyber Game—the national contest promoted by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, with the support of Cyber 4.0 and Invitalia. The competition challenged participants to design, develop, test, and create a video game aimed at educating young people about cybersecurity and cybercrime prevention.
The winning game, CL!CKB4!T, was conceived and developed by Alfredo Campagna, Jacopo Colistra, Federico Salvucci, and Francesco Stazi, students of the Game Developer course (2022-2024).
