B.E.E. group

An informal research group on social and strategic behavior at the crossroad of
Behavioral economics (with focus on human social behavior)
Experimental economics (for causal quantitative analysis)
Evolutionary game theory (to model dynamic stochastic interactions)

The BEE group is an informal research group of phd students and researchers based at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca but open to interested scholars from other institutions. The group aims at promoting scientific progress in modeling, understanding, and explaining human social behavior by providing informal occasions for interested scholar to discuss new ideas and stress-test their work in a friendly environment.

BEE activities are self-organized by participants and open to anybody who is interested (contact any of us to join a meeting!). At the moment there are 4 different activities routinely done: the BEEStorm, the BEEPres, the BEEApe, and the BEEPlay (see below) plus meetings of students with researchers to get some advice, but anybody in the group can propose new activities!

BEEStorm

Brainstorming altogether on new research ideas

BEEPres

Presentations of work-in-progress by BEE researchers

BEEApe

Meetings at bar, pub or hostaria... (not only BEEr!)

BEEPlay

Meetings at the table top to play games and debate
