Institute of Matematics
Polish Academy of Sciences
Warsaw, Poland, 24.05-25.06.2027
The Simons Semester on "Quantum Groups and Operator Algebras" will be a five-week programme May/June 2027. Its aim is to bring together both young and established researchers working at the intersection of operator algebras and quantum groups or neighbouring areas, such representation theory, harmonic analysis, tensor categories, quantum probability or quantum information.
We will start with an introductory school for graduate students and early-career researchers in the Będlewo Conference Centre (near Poznań) in the week 24-28 of May.
After that we plan three weeks of various activities at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, including seminars and focused research groups.
In the last week, 21-25 of June, we will conclude the programme with the conference "From quantum groups to operator algebras and back".
The registration is now open. Please register until the 30th of November if you need financial support. The registration will close on the 28th of February 2027. If you have any questions, please contact us at simonssemester2027@gmail.com.
