Institute of Matematics of Polish Academy of Sciences,
Będlewo, Poland, May 17 - 22, 2026
The Mathematical Institute of the University of Wrocław, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and the Banach Center (Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences) are pleased to announce a conference, “Discrete Random Structures II 2026” during the week of May 17-22, 2026.
Following the Discrete Random Structures 2023 conference, this event will focus on discrete random structures and self-similar processes. Over the past decade, these topics have attracted growing interest within the probability community, leading to significant developments that have placed self-similar processes at the forefront of modern pure and applied mathematics. Our aim is to bring together leading experts in probability theory and related fields who have played a key role in advancing these areas.
The program covers a number of topics from probability theory:
random branching structures
Mandelbrot cascades
random processes with immigration
Gaussian random fields
fragmentation-coalescence processes
random walks in random scenery
random recursive equations
interacting particle systems
