Partnering with two local SUN community schools, CORE High School Program (CORE HSP) offers local youth with work readiness training after-school over the course of 12-weeks during the school year and 5 weeks over the summer. CORE-HSP prepares youth for immediate employment prospects and also guides them towards sustainable, long-term career development. Through skill-building and exposure to diverse career paths, we support students in creating a viable post-secondary plan aligned with their interests.
Geared toward individuals age 17-24 with a vested interest in pursuing a manufacturing career, Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship participants will gain relevant industry-specific technical knowledge and employability skills. Successful graduates will have an opportunity for a paid internship or direct employment with a local manufacturing company.
A 900 foot maker space located at Impact NW’s facility, Make @ Impact is a manufacturing playground where students can explore material creation and build employable skills with specialized equipment like a 3D printer, CNC desktop mill, laser cutter, skateboard press, band saw, drill press, grinder, and more.
