Mr. Thiesfeldt (Mr. T) was born in Stillwater, Minnesota, many years ago and grew up in different towns in Minnesota and Wisconsin with his three siblings and his mom and dad. Both parents were teachers and instilled in him a love of learning, but more importantly a love for the Lord. He was privileged to attend Christian schools from 1st grade all the way through college.
Mr. T met his wife, Kara, while a student at Martin Luther College. Kara currently works as a merchandiser at Scheels in Appleton. They've lived several places since marrying--New Ulm, MN, and several towns in Wisconsin including Hartford, West Salem, Onalaska, Appleton, and finally Greenville (since 2018). Mr. T and his wife have been blessed with three children—Micah (24), Ava (21), and Audra (16).
Mr. T enjoys many activities, but especially values spending time together with his wife and children, traveling, sports, and time in the outdoors.
His work at Immanuel began in 2019 when he received a call to serve as a staff minister. Administering the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) and the Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP) and a variety of teaching roles in the upper grades have been great opportunities to serve. This year he'll be teaching 7th grade geography, 7th grade math, 8th grade math, and civics while also doing some administrative work for the church, especially in support of volunteer groups.
