Support for the development of European projects
November 2025
The CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) recently decided to strengthen its support for European project initiatives in South and Central America, by appointing a European Project Engineer (Ingénieure Projets Européens – IPE), Giulia Galluccio, for the region. Giulia's role is to identify relevant European funding calls for the active research teams and networks, acting as the main point of contact for European programs, assisting in mapping opportunities, providing guidance on the eligibility of CNRS-affiliated or partner teams, and connecting researchers to the appropriate European channels for project preparation and submission. This initiative reflects the CNRS's growing commitment to increasing the participation of its international partners in European structures, and strongly encourages considering the European level as a strategic lever for the development of ambitious and multidisciplinary projects.
