When I realised my Professional Practice was going to deal with aquaculture, it stressed me out as I knew virtually nothing about this topic. I always pictured big nets in open sea, containing thousands of fishes and the issues caused by these operations on the surrounding environment. This is immediately one of the main reasons why I chose this topic, as it gave me the opportunity to learn something completely new and hopefully I could form a representative image afterwards. During my stay at the Laboratory of Aquaculture & Artemia Reference Center (ARC), I discovered the diversity of aquaculture practices and the research involved with this. After one week, I grasped it would be hard to explain the variety of activities I was involved in, without clear visualisation. In that respective I tried to document as many activities as possible, to really guide you through my Professional Practice.
