The Department of Life and Environmental Sciences (DiSVA) was founded in 2011 with the merger of several laboratories working on a variety of fundamental and practical research subjects. More than 100 scientists and technicians work in the department, which is a center of excellence at the UniversitĂ Politecnica delle Marche. They perform research in areas such as analytical and organic chemistry, biophysics, cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics, microbiology and biotechnology, and many more.
In the last five years, DiSVA scientists have published about 200 ISI publications (Web of Science) every year, which have been cited over 2500 times on average. These researchers work directly with a number of research centers and large-scale facilities throughout the world, organizing and executing a number of national and international research initiatives.
During my professional practice experience, I worked with Antonio Dell'ano (supervisor), Silvia Bianchelli (mentor), Francesco Martini (young researcher), and other students.
