This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Road Justice mobile application (the “App”).
Store note: Google Play requires developers to accurately complete the Data Safety disclosures that correspond to real collection/sharing practices. Apple also scrutinizes whether your in-app privacy policy matches your App Store privacy disclosures.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information depending on what features you use:
A) Information You Provide
Account information: name, email, phone number, password (or auth token), profile details (if accounts exist).
User content: posts, messages, photos, comments, and other content you submit (if community features exist).
Support requests: communications you send to us.
B) Information Collected Automatically
Device & app data: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, App version, language, crash logs, performance data.
Usage data: screens visited, feature usage, time spent, diagnostic events.
C) Location Data (If You Enable It)
If the App includes a rider map, “nearby” features, emergency tools, or location tagging, we may collect:
Precise location (GPS) if you allow it; and/or
Approximate location derived from network or device signals.
You can disable location in your device settings, but some features may not work.
D) Camera / Microphone / Files (If You Enable It)
If you use dash cam/recording or document storage features, the App may access:
Camera and microphone for recording;
Photo library/files for storing or uploading images (e.g., license/insurance cards).
We access these only with your permission via OS prompts.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide and operate the App and its features (recording tools, storage, community).
Maintain safety and integrity (fraud prevention, abuse prevention, moderation).
Improve performance, debug issues, and develop new features.
Communicate with you (support, security notices, policy updates).
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information:
With service providers that help us operate the App (hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, customer support), under contractual confidentiality obligations.
With other users if you choose to post publicly or message others (community features).
For legal reasons if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security (e.g., fraud prevention, threats, unlawful activity).
In a business transfer (merger, acquisition, asset sale), subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of “sell,” but if you use ad/analytics SDKs, confirm their behavior and update this section accordingly.
4. User Controls
You can typically:
Update profile/account info inside the App (if accounts exist).
Control permissions (location, camera, microphone, photos) in device settings.
Opt out of certain communications (where applicable).
5. Account Deletion (If Accounts Exist)
If you create an account, you can request or initiate deletion within the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing us at [support@roadjusticeapp.com]. We will process deletion subject to legal/operational requirements. (Apple requires in-app initiation of account deletion when account creation exists.)
6. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to:
Provide the App;
Comply with legal obligations;
Resolve disputes and enforce agreements; and
Maintain security and prevent abuse.
Retention periods vary by data type and feature usage.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (and not intended for minors generally). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International Users
If you use the App outside the United States, you understand information may be processed and stored in the U.S. or other jurisdictions where our providers operate.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy in the App and update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
