The Nordeste Dinâmico aims to promote interaction among members of the Dynamical Systems community and related areas in the northeast of Brazil. The event will feature researchers working in foreign institutions as well as researchers from other national regions of Brazil. We will take advantage of the year it was held to honor the internationally renowned researcher Carlos Gustavo Moreira, for his 50th birthday.
Celebrating the 50th birthday of Carlos Gustavo Moreira
Carlos Gustavo is a researcher at IMPA, a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, a full member of World Academy of Sciences. Winner of several awards in recognition of his scientific contribution, such as the UMALCA and was a plenary speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians, the largest mathematics event in the world. It was recognized with the order of scientific merit. He won the Erdos award for his contribution to the Mathematical Olympiads. Carlos Gustavo contributed and still contributes directly to the guidance of mathematicians who today work in universities in northeastern Brazil.
