📚 What We're Learning This Week
Novice B:
Topic: Sports and Abilities
This week, students will learn to name common sports in Chinese and talk about which ones they are able to play. They will learn to express preferences — from liking something to liking it the most — and describe their weekly sports routines. They will practice through speed challenges, preference polls, surveys, and partner interviews.
Key Skills:
Naming common sports (running, swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer)
Asking and answering: "Can you play…?" (nǐ huì ______ ma? 你会______吗？) and responding "I can / I can't…" (wǒ huì / wǒ bú huì… 我会/不会……)
Saying "I like…" (wǒ xǐ huan… 我喜欢……), "I really like…" (wǒ hěn xǐ huan… 我很喜欢……), and "My favorite is…" (wǒ zuì xǐ huan… 我最喜欢……)
Asking "What sport do you like most?" (nǐ zuì xǐ huan shén me yùn dòng? 你最喜欢什么运动？)
