Learning Objectives:
I can research and understand a traditional Chinese festival using interpretive skills.
I can collaborate with my group to organize information and use learned vocabulary and sentence structures to communicate clearly.
Demonstration of Learning (DOL) :
Students will create a group presentation (PPT, Canva, or poster) about one traditional Chinese festival.
Students will present for about 10 minutes, explaining when and how the festival is celebrated using complete sentences and learned vocabulary.
Students will complete and lead an interactive class activity (Kahoot, Blooket, or Gimkit) based on their presentation.
🤓 How Families Can Help at Home:
Ask your child to teach you one new word or phrase each week
Ask them to tell you a phrase about what they learn in Chinese this year (NB and IB students)
📖 Reminders for Graded Work:
Group anchor chart project over one cycle’s vocabulary and sentence structures
3 class periods to work on the presentation

Final review quiz over all presentations and semester content on the last day
