Additional Uniform Policy Information (provided by admin):
Headwear
Students are not permitted to wear hats, bandanas, balaclavas, caps, visors, sunglasses, or any other headwear during school hours. All hair accessories and religious head coverings must be in uniform colors: maroon, black, grey, or white.
Logos
The only logo permitted on any clothing item is the official ILTexas logo. No other logos may be displayed on any part of the uniform.
Modesty Shorts
All girls are required to wear modesty shorts or P.E. shorts under skirts or jumpers. Modesty shorts must not extend beyond the hem of the skirt.
Sweaters, Jackets, & Spirit Sweatshirts
Students may wear a solid maroon, white, black, or grey cardigan (button-up or closed v-neck sweater) or an ILTexas-logo jacket Monday through Friday.
Only ILTexas blazers or ILTexas-logo jackets are permitted during the school day.
Jackets in ILTexas colors may be worn, but hoods must remain off while inside the building.
Pullover hoodies—including athletic hoodies issued by the Athletic Department—are not permitted.
No other jackets, hoodies, sweaters, or sweatshirts may be worn during school hours.
Undershirts
Students may wear only solid white undershirts, long- or short-sleeved, beneath their dress shirt or spirit polo. Undershirts must be tucked in, free of writing or logos, and sleeves may not extend beyond the uniform shirt.
Grooming Expectations
To maintain safety and minimize distractions, students must follow these guidelines:
Hairstyles must not pose a health risk or cause disruption to the learning environment.
Hair should not cover the eyes and must be a naturally occurring hair color.
Spiked hair is limited to one inch; mohawks, shaved designs, and fad cuts are not permitted.
Boys are expected to be clean-shaven each day.
Students who do not meet grooming expectations may be sent home, and disciplinary action may be taken as needed.
