Division of Rehabilitation Services

Illini Mentor Program

Description: Mentor program that meets once a week for 2 hours for students to meet other students their same age as well as older more experienced mentors to help their abilities with building positive relationships. This program emphasizes academic support, and enrichment activities to help the children build developmental assets that will help them in the future. The goal of supporting learning, growth, skill-building, and interracial and cultural understanding. As a co-curricular service-learning organization.
Vocational Rehab Services

Description: Provides support in career planning, job search, and training opportunities tailored to the needs of individuals with disabilities. The offer specialized VR services for visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, and Hispanic/Latino’s with disabilities.
Parkland Disability Services

Description: Accessibility Services works in partnership with the college community to facilitate equal access for students with disabilities to the educational programs, services, and activities of Parkland College in accordance with federal law.
