About Us

SITE Committee

The SITE Committee serves to promote careers in STEM to high school students through student-run programs. In our duty to promote careers in STEM, we work towards developing programs that are relevant to the fast-changing fields of science.

As the StemX program continues to evolve, we hope to provide students that are beginning to think about their future career goals more opportunities to explore STEM fields of interest.

The SITE committee also organizes its namesake event in February for high school seniors admitted into the UIUC engineering program. SITE is a three-day event that includes design competitions, tours, and other activities to introduce students to Engineering at Illinois.

Engineering Council

Engineering Council is the umbrella engineering student organization that organizes a wide rande of events, such as: Engineering Open House, Engineering Employment Expo, the Student Introduction to Engineering (SITE) program, and other service, outreach, and social events.

StemX is a program spearheaded by the SITE Committee. Engineering Council is completely student-run with the support of the UIUC College of Engineering.
