Sharanya Bhattacharjee

Hi! I am a Ph.D. student in Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My research sits at the intersection of development and behavioral economics. More recently, I have also been exploring ideas related to human–AI interactions.

I am broadly interested in how individuals learn, make decisions, acquire skills, and respond to new technologies, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Much of my work uses field experiments and experimental designs to study the impact of interventions in education, labor markets, and technology adoption.
