Hi everyone! My name is Taylor, and I’m a rising senior majoring in Sustainable Design with a focus on urban planning and policy. One of my favorite things about UIUC is how you can explore so many different interests and turn them into real opportunities.
I’ve been involved in ISP since freshman year, and it’s been a great support system for building connections and growing both academically and professionally. Outside of classes, I enjoy creative projects like digital designs, poetry, and anything related to sustainability and community development.
I’m excited to meet you all and help you get settled on campus this summer!
Beverly Valdez
Hello! My name is Beverly Valdez and I am a rising junior studying psychology with a minor in social work! I have been a mentee, mentor and now an RA for the ISP Program, so if you ever have questions about anything program related, please ask away!
I am from Cicero, IL and I am the oldest of three! I am first-gen and Mexican American! Outside of the program you will usually find me at the Activities and Recreation (ARC), likely paying rent because I practically live there during the year… but it's all in good fun because I am part of three lovely dance teams on campus! Shoutout TNB, K-Project and Re:verie! As of now, some of my favorite music artists include ATEEZ, The Marias/NFR, and Malcolm Todd! Also, one of my favorite places to eat on campus is Kung Fu Tea (trust me on this one!!!) Also, you can't probably tell, but my favorite symbol is the exclamation mark!
I have 100000% experienced the wonderful ups and horrible downs of college, so if you guys need someone to talk to or hangout with, do let me know! I hope you guys love UIUC as much as I do and make the best out of the time you spend in the program, safely of course! I’ll be around!
Hi! I'm David Chang, and I'm a rising junior from Chicago studying mechanical engineering. I have a strong focus on helping others in the future, and I believe that engineering is a great way to do so! I am the oldest out of three brothers, and I am Cambodian!
I am involved in multiple extracurricular activities outside of school, such as volunteering, playing video games for UIUC, and helping assist students in PHYS211 labs. I understand that getting adjusted to college may be difficult, as I had a difficult time adjusting in my first semester, so I am here to make new incoming students feel welcome and comfortable!
Hi everyone! My name is Jazmine and I’m going into my senior year in Landscape Architecture.
This summer what’s keeping me busy is working and the world cup. Can’t wait to meet everyone this summer as one of the Resident Advisors!
