About me

I hail originally from rural North Dakota. I did my undergraduate studies at North Dakota State University in Fargo. I always enjoy visiting Fargo whenever I get the chance, especially in the winter.

I started the PhD program at Illinois in August 2016, and I received my master's in December 2017. I've been working with Anush Tserunyan since August 2017, and I passed my preliminary examinations in May 2019.

I also hold a teaching assistantship, and I have taught discussion sections in calculus and algebra.

In my free time I enjoy video games, pub trivia, and studying foreign languages (Esperanto, French, Swedish, etc.). I'm also entertained by absurd/surreal stock photos (pictured).
