Zixin Wang, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Associate
Zixin is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include radar signal domain adaptation, physics-informed machine learning, structural health monitoring, and structural vibration control. He earned his Ph.D. from Purdue University, where he developed AI-driven structural health monitoring technologies for complex structural and sensing systems, with an emphasis on enhancing the resilience of extraterrestrial habitats through physics-informed machine learning. He also holds a master’s degree from Tongji University, where he advanced structural vibration control techniques to improve the resilience of civil infrastructure against earthquakes and strong winds.
