Mohammadreza Rajaee
Ph.D. Student
Mohammadreza Rajaee is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on Bridge Weigh-in-Motion (BWIM) systems for accurate load rating of existing highway bridges. He is currently working on developing and implementing data-driven methodologies that integrate field instrumentation, advanced signal processing, and statistical modeling to estimate bridge load capacities. Prior to his Ph.D. studies, he conducted research on the crashworthiness evaluation of roadside safety hardware using full-scale testing and high-fidelity finite element simulations in LS-DYNA. His work is supported by the Illinois Department of Transportation and validated through field testing on in-service bridges.
