At this age, some of the best learning can happen when subjects are integrated into theme-based or project-based learning (PBL). You may want to choose one theme for each month and then choose high-quality books, plan hands-on activities, and incorporate field studies to integrate your learning across all subjects. Below is an example of PBL on butterflies that a learner completed.
Pretend play can be a great tool at this age to reinforce and extend learning. If your child helps design costumes and props, all the better!
