Graduation Speech

The theme for graduation 2026 is "The Next Chapter Begins." This might inspire speeches and song submissions. Any graduate participating in the ceremony is welcome to submit an audition video by April 13 to be considered as a potential speaker for our graduation ceremony.

Video Audition Submission

• 1-2 minutes long

• Include the ideas or main points you are thinking about presenting in your speech 

• Include why you would like to be selected

• Submit audition videos HERE by April 13, 2026

• Speakers who are selected will be notified by April 24, 2026

• Final speeches will be due by May 15, 2026

• Speakers will meet with an advisor for follow-up practice sessions

NOTE: The final speech will be 4-6 minutes in length. Topic suggestions:

• What valuable lessons have you learned that will help you in your next steps after high school?  

• How have your experiences in independent study helped shape you as a lifelong learner or prepared you for college?

• What insights would you like to share with your fellow graduates as they embark on college or career next year?

Graduation Performances

We recognize that we have many talented high schoolers who are gifted musicians or vocalists. We will not be able to project pre-recorded videos with the audience so only ceremony participants will be considered.  

Video Audition Submission

• Please submit a video of you singing or playing the musical piece you would like us to consider having you perform during the ceremony

• Submit audition videos HERE by April 13, 2026.

• Final performance selections for the graduation ceremony will be shared with applicants by April 24, 2026

• Performance dress rehearsal will be required prior to the ceremony at 1:00 pm
