Performances

At Exploration, we have many talented high schoolers who are gifted musicians or vocalists and we would love to have one or two of our graduates perform during the ceremony. Since the venue is an outdoor location, we will not be able to project pre-recorded videos with the audience. As a result, only ceremony participants will be considered.

Video Audition Submission

• Submit a video of you singing or playing the musical piece you would like us to consider having you perform during the ceremony

• Email all video submissions to highschool@ileadexploration.org by Apr 27, 2022

• Final performance selections for the graduation ceremony will be shared with applicants by May 4.

Speeches

Any graduate who is participating in the ceremony is welcome to submit an audition video by April 27 to be considered as a potential speaker for our graduation ceremony.

• 1-2 minutes long

• Include the ideas or main points you are thinking about presenting in your speech

• Include why you would like to be selected

• Email all video submissions to highschool@ileadexploration.org by Apr 27, 2022

• Speakers who are selected will be notified by May 4, 2022

• Final speeches will be due by May 20, 2022

• Speakers will meet with an advisor for follow-up practice sessions

NOTE: The final speech will be 4-6 minutes in length. Topic suggestions:

• What valuable lessons have you learned during Covid that will help you in your next steps after high school?

• How have your experiences in independent study helped shape you as a lifelong learner or prepared you for college?

• What advice or insights would you like to share with your fellow graduates as they embark on college or career next year?
