My school district will be registering me. What information do they need?
If your district or school is registering or paying for your conference attendance, ensure that your name and email address (the attendee) are included in the registration. This allows IAEA to maintain accurate attendance records.
Please confirm that the person completing your registration has all required information, including your email address, Illinois Educator Identification Number (IEIN), and your intended workshop and event selections.
What are workshops? Do I have to do workshops? Do workshops cost more money?
- You can expect an interactive, hands-on experience using a variety of materials and/or processes.
- Workshops are optional and have an additional cost.
- Workshop seating is "ticketed" with capacity limited to 20 participants.
- Workshops will be 50 minutes or 110 minutes
Additional information about workshops:
- Workshops require an additional fee beyond standard conference registration.
- Workshop tickets may be selected and paid for during registration or purchased separately prior to the event.
- A $25 reservation fee applies due to limited seating and material costs.
- Workshop fees are non-refundable unless the workshop is canceled by the presenter (see Cancellation Policy below). Tickets may be transferred to another attendee.
Payment Options. How can I pay for conference registration?
IAEA accepts credit card, check, or money order as forms of payment.
- Credit Card — Online payment (preferred method).
- Check or Money Order — Select the “Check” option when finalizing your conference registration.
Registration is not confirmed until payment is received. If payment is not received within 14 days, the registration will be canceled.
- Purchase Orders (POs) — Not accepted.

Cancellation Policy. How do I cancel my conference registration?
● Directions:
1. You must submit your request in writing (email) to the Conference Registrar, Jen Fitzpatrick (membership@ilaea.org) by Wednesday October 7th, 2026.
2. A $35 cancellation fee will be applied to your refund. Allow 4-6 weeks after the conference to receive an authorized refund.
● After October 21st, 2026, no refunds will be processed, however you can authorize in writing (email) to have a colleague attend in your place.
Professional Development Hours. How do I get PDH credits for the conference?

Thank you for choosing IAEA for your professional development. This year’s in-person conference offers up to TBD Professional Development Hours (PDH) over three days. ISBE requires that we document attendance, so participants will be responsible for digitally signing in and out to track participation. Additional details about the sign-in process will be shared in conference communications.
Approximately two weeks after the conference, the Professional Development Coordinator will email instructions on how to access your PDH based on recorded attendance. All PDH will be issued through PD+ in ELIS.
Professional Development Hours and Information
● Thursday October 23rd, 2025 - An individual may be eligible to receive up to TBD PDH. Based on digital sign-in and sign-out (time stamped).
● Friday October 24th, 2025 - An individual may be eligible to receive up to TBD PDH. Based on digital sign-in and sign-out (time stamped). * Reflects one hour lunch break.
● On Saturday October 25th, 2025, An individual may be eligible to receive up to TBD PDH. Based on digital sign-in and sign-out (time stamped). * Reflects one hour lunch break.
Important: PDH credits are offered based on digital time stamp entry and exit times. You are responsible for your electronic attendance for each day you attend the conference.
Navigating the conference. How do I find my way around? Is there a map?
IAEA is using the Whova app as an online conference interface/booklet/brochure. The app will help you see upcoming events and set your schedule. With the Whova app you will be able to:
● View the conference agenda details digitally
● See who else is attending and make connections
● Receive real-time updates and announcements throughout the conference
