What is Photosynthesis?
the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize nutrients from carbon dioxide and water. Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen as a by-product.
What is the process of Photosynthesis?
During photosynthesis, plants take in carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) from the air and soil. This transforms the water into oxygen and the carbon dioxide into glucose. The plant then releases the oxygen back into the air, and stores energy within the glucose molecules.
What is meant by the rate of Photosynthesis?
Chlorophyll concentration - High chlorophyll concentration gives a high rate of photosynthesis. Light intensity - Increasing light intensity increases the rate of photosynthesis because more energy is provided.
