Coach Bill Miller Scholarship:
Bill Miller was a coach, teacher, principal, and activities director for 33 years at Manilla and IKM Community Schools. Coach Miller contributed to the school community for 40 years before his death on November 29, 2012.

Carroll County Cattlemen's Youth Leadership Scholarship CLOSED
This $1500 scholarship is available to any individual who is a graduating High School senior and is planning to attend any post-secondary school, or to an individual who is already attending post-secondary school and continuing their education in the fall. We are limiting the scholarship to be received only twice per applicant.
2. The Scholarship applicant will be chosen at the discretion of the Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association Board of Directors. An application shall be completed and returned by April 14, 2023 with a copy of academic records.

Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU) Scholarship (Utility Focused) CLOSED
Each $2,000 scholarship will be distributed to the educational institution. To apply, candidates must fill out and submit the scholarship application. Applications are due March 6, 2023 to scholarship@iamu.org. A minimum of 4 scholarships will be awarded. IAMU will announce the award recipients by May 1, 2023.

The family of Lynette Ludwig has announced a memorial scholarship for area students pursuing the nursing field. Up to two $500 scholarships will be awarded to eligible students who will be enrolled in an accredited nursing program in the fall of 2023. The Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation (SWIEF) offers various scholarships to high school seniors for college throughout eligible southwest Iowa high schools.

Students who attend high schools in the counties of Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, and Shelby along with students in the high schools of Boyer Valley, Exira-EHK, IKM-Manning, and Southwest Valley are eligible to apply.

Missouri River Energy Services (MRES):
MRES has 2 scholarship programs available to students--
One of the scholarship programs is for students pursuing a career in an electrical lineworker or powerline field at one of the schools designated on the attached flyer - any student at your school is eligible to for apply for this scholarship. This is a one-time scholarship of $2,000 and is not renewable.
The other scholarship program is for students that presently reside in one of the 61 member communities served by MRES. WIMECA/Basin Electric:Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education Scholarships: CLOSED
Each year, Western Iowa Municipal Electric Cooperative Association (WIMECA) awards an IKM-Manning student with a $1000 scholarship. Interested students must fill out the application form, and must be the child of a Manning Municipal Utilities electric customer.
Basin Electric also provides a $1000 scholarship to a student from WIMECA. There is a separate application and students are encouraged to do that one as well.

CLOSED: Crawford County Farm Bureau: Eligibility is reserved for current Iowa Farm Bureau members or their children in good standing with the organization. To be considered, the graduating high school student must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, be involved in extra-curricular activities, and accepted into an accredited higher education institution, including community colleges and technical schools.

Carroll Soil and Water Conservation District: (2)$500 scholarships will be awarded to students who live in Carroll County and plan to study in any field of agriculture or natural resources.

Below is all the information a student should need to know regarding the scholarships available.
Students will no longer have to fill out one application for the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) Scholarship and one for the Carroll County Farm Bureau Scholarship.
One application will serve as an opportunity to receive the state (IFBF) and local (Carroll County) Farm Bureau scholarships available to you.

Through the portal, students will type their application directly into a database where the information will be housed and presented to the Scholarship Committee.

CLOSED:Iowa State Hixson Opportunity Award: This is a half-tuition scholarship, estimated at more than $18,000 over the course of 8 semesters. 100 scholarships are awarded

CLOSED:Shelby County Farm Bureau/Iowa Farm Bureau: Applicants of the Iowa Farm Bureau scholarship must be planning to study in either an ag-related field or a field that will support rural Iowa.
**The Shelby County Farm Bureau Board met and has voted to increase the county scholarships. Beginning for 2023 they will be awarding FOUR $1250 scholarships. (previously it was three $1000).
Sons and daughters of Shelby County Farm Bureau members are eligible to apply, and the students' parents must be in good standing with their respective county Farm Bureau and Iowa Farm Bureau. Applicants MUST apply in the county where their Farm Bureau membership is held. One application covers county and state scholarships.

Criteria: Applicants need not have a Masonic connection. The main criteria is service to school and community with emphasis upon leadership roles in those areas. Academic record, communication skills and need for assistance will be carefully considered.
