◼️Why is one location beneficial to our school district?

  • Closer access to hospital and police department in the case of an emergency

  • The entire building would be ADA compliant for everyone who enters the building to feel included

  • Less money spent on operational costs and bussing 

• All Staff Located in One Building

  • Alleviates the sharing of staff between two buildings

  • Staff could share resources and collaborate across grade levels

• Elementary & Middle School Concept

  • Elementary would consist of grades Preschool-5th grade and middle school would consist of grades 6th-8th  

• Consistent School Times

  • School times would be consistent Preschool-12th grade unlike they are now due to bussing logistics

  • A Preschool-12th grade building would provide opportunities for students to mentor, job shadow, and build a school wide community

  • Up to date facilities often leads to school pride and culture

◼️How long would the school bond last?

• 20 years

◼️What is the interest rate on the bond?

• Interest rates can't be determined until the bonds are sold.  Since the bond hasn't passed, we can't determine the interest rate. 

◼️How many more minutes of classroom time will be gained by the direct  bussing to Manning instead of the current shuttle system? 

• Currently the elementary releases at  3:10 and the secondary building is 3:25/3:30.   Start time at the elementary building is supposed to be 8:10 but realistically doesn't start until 8:25.  Without adjusting the school day at Manning building, the TK-3 students would gain 25-30 minutes.
