Week 12: Assessment - INDIVIDUAL ESSAY
We’re cleaning up Indonesia’s rivers, one river at a time. The constant pileup of trash in these rivers heavily impacts nearby farmland, the ocean, and local well water systems. We are committed to cleaning as many rivers as we can by removing the waste that’s there and installing our trash barriers to provide long term solutions. Once our barriers are installer, we clean them daily and bring the trash to our facilities to sort and process the trash for recycling. Let’s put an end to the plastic battle
Question for the Individual Essay:
Watch the video on We Collected 300,000 Pounds of Plastic in 8 months! By Make A Change on our website. Based on the video, write an individual essay discussing the importance of preserving and restoring our rivers for a sustainable planet. Write about the impact of not preserving our rivers socially, environmentally, and economically. Present the strategies and solutions to address the challenges faced in ensuring our rivers’ long-term health and vitality.
Specifically, your essay should contain the following elements
Introduction: Provide an overview of the topic with a strong thesis statement. The thesis statement is a brief summary of the focus of the essay, which in this case is the element of change observed in your society.
Body paragraphs: Ensure the body of your essay is well focused, and contains appropriate contents. Additionally, support your claim(s) with appropriate sources
Conclusion: In the conclusion of your essay, you should focus on bringing your piece together by providing a summary of points made throughout, and what you have learned as a result.
