The International Conference on State Transformation and Development in a Changing World organised by Department of Political Science, AHAS KIRKHS, IIUM in collaboration with The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Jenderal Soedirman University and stratsea.com. The conference will be conducted in English and Arabic languages. The conference is ONLINE (Zoom Platform), on: 27-28 November 2023.
State transformation refers to the process of altering anything inside a nation, typically from one form or situation to another. In the context of a world in transition, "state transformation" can relate to how communities, organisations, and individuals adapt and respond to changes. The economic, social, educational, and political systems may all play a role. Individuals and communities can be profoundly affected by shifts in the global context and the governments they represent. As an illustration of the effects of world changes on state reorganisation, consider the following examples:
a) Changes in politics, like a shift in leadership or the adoption of new policies, rules, and regulations, can considerably impact society's work. For instance, a government transition or the adoption of new ways of managing the state might dramatically alter how a country is governed.
b) Changes in the economy, like changes in trade patterns or the use of new technology, can also significantly impact how society behaves. For instance, new technology and ways of managing the economy can affect the economy by altering how commodities and services are produced and used.
c) Social developments, such as alterations in cultural norms or the adoption of new digital networking, can substantially affect the state of society. For instance, the introduction of e-government has significantly altered how people communicate and interact with authorities.
The conference provides a platform for researchers, experts, and practitioners from all over the globe to share their knowledge, research findings, and best practices on the subject.
The conference allows participants to meet and network with other professionals, experts, and researchers in their fields. This can lead to collaborations, partnerships, and new opportunities for research, funding, and career development.
By sharing their experiences, ideas, and recommendations, participants can develop evidence-based policies and strategies to address global challenges.
The conference can contribute to capacity building by providing training, skills development, and knowledge transfer to participants from developing countries and regions. This can build the capacity of individuals, organisations, and countries to address global challenges and achieve sustainable development.
