Geo-Cities - 2025
April 5, 2025 - Bengaluru
GeoCities 2025 national seminar, organized by the Geospatial Intelligence and Applications Laboratory of IIT Tirupati Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation (IITTNiF), marks the first national-level summit dedicated to unlocking the potential of Geospatial Technologies for urban India. Under the powerful tagline "Digital Governance for Indian Cities through Geospatial Intelligence". The seminar will focus on Future of Indian Cities which will be transformed through Spatial Intelligence. The event will be held on April 5, 2025, Bengaluru, bringing together leading voices from government, industry, startups, and academia.
Aligned with the vision of the National Geospatial Policy 2022 and the forthcoming National Geospatial Mission, GeoCities 2025 aims to serve as a catalyst for transforming Indian cities into data-driven, resilient, and sustainable urban ecosystems. These national initiatives emphasize democratizing geospatial data, promoting indigenous technologies, and creating an enabling ecosystem for geospatial innovation — all of which will be brought to life through the deliberations and showcases at this seminar.
With urbanization accelerating across India, spatial intelligence has emerged as a game changer for infrastructure planning, environmental management, disaster resilience, mobility, and inclusive governance. GeoCities 2025 will spotlight practical applications of GIS, remote sensing, spatial analytics, and AI/ML in urban contexts, while also providing a platform to introduce and scale geospatial data products built on open standards and FAIR principles.
The seminar will feature:
Keynote addresses by national and international experts
Thought-provoking panels on urban geospatial priorities
Startup showcases and technology exhibitions
Discussions on policy alignment and public-private partnerships
As the inaugural edition, GeoCities 2025 will set the tone for future-forward conversations, shape India’s urban geospatial roadmap, and accelerate the implementation of the National Geospatial Policy and Mission at the city level. By fostering strategic collaborations and surfacing innovation across sectors, the event will play a defining role in building spatially intelligent, citizen-centric, and globally competitive Indian cities.
