Brief Bio: Pratik is presently an Associate Professor in the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar and leads the Interface Dynamics and Energetics of Alloys Research Laboratory (IDEAs Lab). Pratik's primary research interests lies in developing a fundamental understanding of interfaces in materials, focusing on phase boundaries, grain boundaries and solid-liquid interfaces, including the physics of defects. Interfaces play a key role in development of engineering materials such as superalloys, steels, high-entropy alloys, colloids and a variety of intriguing intermetallics which are investigated and designed at the IDEAs Lab.
