Expert Lecture On Paper-based Microfluidics Devices for Affordable Diagnostics and its Potential in Smart Agriculture
Dr. Dharitri Rath delivered an enlightening session on February 23rd, 2023, at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu. The session titled "Paper-based Microfluidics Devices for Affordable Diagnostics and its Potential in Smart Agriculture" explored diverse microfluidic devices and their role in making diagnostics more accessible and cost-effective, particularly in patient care settings. Dr. Rath delved into the applications of these technologies in the realm of smart agriculture, showcasing their potential to revolutionize the field.
Lunch and Learn with Dr Dharitri Rath on "Design of Paper-based Devices for Affordable Diagnostics" covering modern methods of providing point-of-care diagnostics at or near patient care in various settings at the Marnix E. Heersink Institute for Biomedical Innovation on Friday, July 15. She was introduced by Rubin Pillay, M.D., Ph.D., executive director of the Marnix E. Heersink Institute of Biomedical Innovation, assistant dean for Global Health Innovation, and Chief Innovation Officer, UAB Health System.
Our students Anna Anandita, Mathi Saihemanth, Sravanth Reddy and Vajjarapu Dheeraj have presented their research work titled, “A Generic Smart-phone Application for Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) using Machine Learning” under the supervision of Dr. Dharitri Rath and have been awarded Best E-POSTER Presentation Award under the theme Environmental Engineering in the national conference Indian Chemical Engineering Congress (CHEMCON-2021); 74th Annual Session of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers held from December 27 - 30, 2021 in Bhubaneswar, India.
