The 5-Day STEM Teacher Training Program for PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is being organized during 04 - 08 December 2024 at IIT Jodhpur, in association with Navodaya Leadership Institute, Udaipur. The need for STEM teacher training is vital to equip educators with skills to foster critical thinking and innovation in students, aligning with NEP 2020’s emphasis on experiential and interdisciplinary learning. The Center for Education & Technology for Education (CETE) at IIT Jodhpur is happy to welcome TGT teachers from across Rajasthan, Delhi, and Haryana for an extensive 5-Day Teacher Training Program that would focus on competency-based science education, technology-enhanced learning, experiential learning and holistic development of teachers and learners.
Training ObjectivesÂ
Focussing on empowering teachers to implement the National Education Policy 2020, this Training Program has the following training objectives:
Competency-based Learning (Training teachers in science-specific pedagogies & Integrated Pedagogies)
Integration of Technology in Pedagogy (Tech-enabled learning, e-learning, and effective utilization of digital resources)
Holistic Development & Social-Emotional Learning (Strategies for creating self-aware and inclusive classroom environment)
Continuous Professional Development (Self-directed learning, collaborative communities, resources and mentorship)

However, it has also raised worries about digital privacy and security, with an increase in cybercrime, data breaches, and personal information exploitation. This lecture will cover the fundamentals of digital privacy, growing risks, and practical ways for protecting oneself online, using real-world examples from the Indian setting. Attendees will learn about their digital rights, the function of rules such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act of 2023, and practical strategies for ensuring online safety.Â
